Keate House staff in Lymm complete Alzheimer’s Society walk

Staff at a Lymm care home have completed a walk to raise more than £550 as part of the Alzheimer’s Society walk.

Keate House Residential Home, based in Brookfield Road, completed the glow walk in Media City but they still wanted residents to feel included in the walk so throughout the day they dressed up in their glow outfits and walked around the Keate House garden.

As part of the launch of the Treasured Times support group for family members of residents, the walk was chosen to kick this off.

“The Alzheimer’s society walk was chosen as a launch by staff for this new group whilst raising money for such a great cause, said Rachel Entwistle, a spokesperson for Keate House. We were thrilled when we exceeded £500 which is such a significant amount towards a great cause.

"The residents loved their afternoon glow walk, dressing up and taking part. On the evening walk, everyone enjoyed the warm-up zumba and the beautiful sights of Media City. It was wonderful to see everyone coming together to raise funds for a fantastic charity.”
